Experience the magnificent Boldt Castle as our cruise takes you to the most famous of the 1000 Islands...Heart Island. An eternal monument to the memory of a man's love for his wife. In 1904 construction was well underway on the 120 room castle when tragedy struck. A telegram arrived at the castle announcing the death of George C. Boldt's wife. Three hundred artisans and craftsmen from around the world dropped their tools and left the island, never to return. Today, an ongoing major restoration is underway to stabilize and restore this magnificent piece of island history.
DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED FOR THIS CRUISE:
Our stopover cruise allows for passengers to disembark at Boldt Castle and return on a later cruise. Boldt Castle is located in the U.S. and all passengers on this cruise are subject to United States Customs and Immigration at Boldt Castle, and upon return to Rockport, subject to Canada Customs and Immigration.
1. Passports are required for this cruise. 2. Citizens of other countries may require a visitors visa as well as their Passport. 3. It is at the discretion of United States Immigration Services to refuse entry to Boldt Castle to any person(s). In this case, Rockport Boat Line regrets, no refund will be given. 4. Admission fees to Boldt Castle are not included in the cost of the cruise but are payable at the castle. Boldt Castle Admission:Adult US$7.00. Children (6-12) US$4.50 Will accept Canadian currency at current exchange rate or credit card.
